Nzungu Earrings — An Ode to my Grandmother
The Ode Collection | Gogos Edit
The Nzungu earrings are an ode to my grandmother — a woman whose hands knew the rhythm of the soil and fed many.
Named after the peanut, or groundnut (Nzungu), these wooden sculpted earrings echo the natural form of the groundnut, symbolising provision, resilience, and the quiet strength of women who nurtured both land and family.
Hand-Krafted in warm earthy tones and designed to be lightweight, the Nzungu earrings carry a story of heritage, inspiration, harvest, and memory.
Often paired with our Moyo – Kijani Bracelet for a naturally grounded look.
